Learn to Skate Director Position  

      

The Figure Skating Club of Minneapolis is looking for a Learn to Skate (LTS) director.  The current schedule for this position is mainly evenings and weekends.  This is a part time contractor/1099 role.

Examples of LTS Director Duties

 

•  Administer USFS LTS Basic Skills programming, including set up of registration for classes, organizing skaters into classes, and ensuring proper LTS coaches

​​

• Supervise and direct the instructional coaches, including recruiting or LTS coaches and substitute instructors as needed

​

• Secure additional volunteer support, as needed

​​

• Maintain and track usage of club's rental skates

​​

• Keep marketing materials up to date and support marketing of the LTS program 

​​

• Work with board of directors to keep website and social media accounts up to date with relevant information 

​​

• Approve times sheets of contract LTS coaches for payment in a timely manner

​​

• Compile reports for each LTS session, including number of participants and profit/loss retail

​​

• Work with board of directors  to ensure program success, growth, and transition of LTS into full club members

​​

​

​

Miscellaneous Duties May Include

​

• Write and distribute general email communications for LTS sessions and special events

​​

• Maintain skater membership with USFS Learn to Skate

​​

• Educate families about other opportunities with out club including ice show, basic skills competitions, private lessons, synchro etc. 

​​

• Attend club board meetings when necessary

​​

• Develop other classes and offerings (i.e, specialty classes) for LTS members

​
