Check out this article about Synchro Panache!

Synchronized team skating is the fastest growing discipline of the United States Figure Skating and the Ice Skating Institute. Synchronized team skating has rapidly expanded to include teams from Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Latin America.
The Figure Skating Club of Minneapolis in conjunction with Augsburg Arena is home to five competitive teams, collectively known as "Synchro Panache". Our teams compete locally and also at Sectional and National Championships.

YOU CAN JOIN OUR TEAMS WITHOUT LEAVING YOUR HOME CLUB
Membership on our teams is open to qualified skaters from any USFS or ISI program in the area. Although membership to the Figure Skating Club of Minneapolis and the ISI is required, there is no need to change your home club affiliation. Many of our skaters belong to other clubs where they continue to practice freestyle, moves, and dance with their individual coaches.
CONSISTENT TEAM PRACTICES IN A GREAT SKATING ENVIRONMENT
In consideration of all team members, FSC of Minneapolis synchronized teams plan their practices and competitions prior to the start of the season. We strive for consistent practice times in a skater friendly environment. The arena is run by Augsburg College with the management and staff supportive of figure skating and the Figure Skating Club of Minneapolis!
YOU WILL IMPROVE YOUR SKATING SKILLS AND STRENGTH
Team skating involves fast and very powerful stroking, along with complicated footwork and precise edge control. Your individual skating and interpretive skills will improve as you perform with the team to an elaborately choreographed program.
YOU WILL BECOME A MORE CONFIDENT SINGLES COMPETITOR
As a team skater, you may feel challenged at first. However, being expected to keep up with your teammates will increase your strength and make you a more proficient skater. When you compete as an individual skater, your team experience will help you feel more self-confident as you perform before large audiences and judges.
OUR FUNDRAISING PROGRAMS WILL HELP DEFRAY YOUR TEAM EXPENSES
If you choose to participate in individual fund raising, any profits that you earn from fundraising activities go directly into your personal account to help defray your expenses. Some group fundraisers will also be held to help defray costs.
